Back to School
Take a deep breath. As you inhale, breathe in God’s renewing hope, peace, and love.
As you exhale, release fear, pressure, doubt, and anxiety.
In this moment, remember: God is near, and you are not alone.
Because if you confess with your mouth “Jesus is Lord” and in your heart you have faith that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Trusting with the heart leads to righteousness, and confessing with the mouth leads to salvation. The scripture says, All who have faith in him won’t be put to shame. There is no distinction between Jew and Greek, because the same Lord is Lord of all, who gives richly to all who call on him. All who call on the Lord’s name will be saved.
Romans 10:9-13
One of the hardest things about being a teenager is feeling pressure to fit in. Sometimes it can seem like everyone around you already knows exactly who they are supposed to be, what they believe, or where they belong. There can be pressure to look a certain way, act a certain way, succeed at everything, or hide the parts of yourself that feel uncertain or vulnerable.
Romans 10 reminds us that faith is not about pretending to have everything figured out. Faith begins with trust. It begins with believing that God loves us exactly as we are and inviting Christ to shape the way we live.
These verses also remind us that God’s love and grace are for everyone. No one has to earn their place with God by being popular, perfect, talented, or impressive. God does not rank people the way the world often does.
Renewal happens when we stop measuring our worth by other people’s expectations and begin seeing ourselves through the eyes of God instead: loved, known, and welcomed. You are loved by God just the way you are.

Question to Ponder:
What pressures or expectations make it difficult for you to be fully yourself?
God, when I feel pressure to fit in or prove myself, remind me that my worth comes from you. Help me live with honesty, courage, and compassion. Renew my heart so I can trust your love more deeply each day. Amen.
Go into this day renewed in mind, heart, and spirit.
May you notice God’s presence in quiet moments, trust God through life’s storms, and journey with courage, compassion, and peace.
And may you remember that wherever you go, you are never alone.
